Homework and Reminders for the week of June 1-12 

• Field trip on Tuesday June 2, 2009 
• Sports Day info- This year sports day will be on June 11th from 10-11:30. Your child should bring a towel, sunscreen, and no open toe shoes aloud but crocks are fine. They should wear their bathing suite under their clothes. It is also free dress that day.
  
• Our class awards are on June 10th at 11:30. The award ceremony will last about 10 minutes.
• On Friday the 12th it will be our last day of school. :(((
• Your child should get parent signature on their homewrok sheet each night.
• The homework for this week and next week is the math that your child did not complete in class . 
• On Monday bring a pillow and your favorite book for the battle of the books.
• Have a wonderful summer!!!! :)))

Reminders

• Monday is FunFair Clean-up. There is no school.
• Tuesday- Field Trip to the Science Center. We need to be here at 6:45 am. Also, a letter went home on Thursday regarding the field trip.
• Tutoring is over for the year.
• Wednseday-Free dress for funfair clean-up for 5th, 6th and 7th grade.
• Bring mission money.

• PARENTS- CHECK THE FIFTH GRADE BLOG FOR ALL OUR WEEKLY UPDATES ON HOMEWORK AND OTHER CLASS NEWS.

• Clean out your portfolio and communication folder weekly.
• PARENTS- MONITOR YOUR CHILD'S HOMEWORK AND MAKE SURE THEY ARE COMPLETING THE HOMEWORK CORRECTLY. ALSO, PLEASE REVIEW WITH YOUR CHILD THE IMPORTANCE OF MAINTANING GOOD STUDY HABITS.

Reading-(Special note to parent-I would like you to check your child on the number of pages your child is reading each night. At this point, your child should be reading at least 40 to 60 minutes a night. If your child is having a difficult time reading the book, I would recommend you have the child return the book if he/she is not interested in the book.
